LionsGate Energy Suppliers
Lions Gate Energy is working with the crude suppliers from the following areas:
1) East Texas - that is the Eaglebine area of the Eagle Ford and Austin Chalk formations (Eaglebine is the East part of Eagle Ford ). The API gravity will range from 36-43.
2) Sea Breeze - is a oil field in Chambers County , Texas. Discovered in 1933 along the Texas Gulf Coast. This is a heavier grade of crude.
3) West Texas Intermediate (WTI)- The Permian formation located in multiple counties in West Texas. This is the biggest oil field in US and is a light sweet oil best used for refining transportation fuels. The API gravity ranges from 36-43.
4) West Texas Semi -Sweet oil - this crude is also from the Permian formation. It has more sulfur than WTI and a lower gravity number meaning a heavier oil.
5) West Texas Sour- this is another Permian based crude with has high sulfur content ( and H2S gas ) and a low gravity content.
6) Tom Brown -Wyoming and Colorado-This oil field is named after an oil company named Tom Brown. It is a lighter type oil.
7) Wyoming Sweet- this oil is a higher gravity oil similar to those lighter oils in Texas. Low sulfur and an API gravity of 39- 45.
8) Bakken oil - North Dakota oil is mostly called l. It is a lighter gravity oil and typically is shipped to the US East Coast for refining.
Eagle Ford shale oil now is priced as Light Louisiana Sweet(LLS)- this oil will be below 44 API gravity and low sulfur of .45%.
